System for 2000 expedition
I have a 2000 expy. running 2 mtx amps 1 to mids and other to mtx sub-enclosure, anyhow keep blowing fuse on the hot wire from the battery to amp for the subwoofer. Guy at stereo shop said to use a bigger fuse so I did and blew that, replaced that and still no bass??? Please help!!

How much power is the sub amp putting out and what guage are the power and ground wires? Also, how long is said power/ground wires?
BTW, what size is the inline fuse on the sub amp power wire?

Sub amp is 400 watt, not sure what guage power and ground wires are. Wires are approx. 4-5 feet. Have had system for about 2 years and w/ no problems just lately fuses have been blowing. Cant remember fuse size, will have to check later.

Have you checked the entire lenths of the wires. One might have worn and the wire is now grounding causing the fuse to blow. Sounds like that is the prob. more so that anything else.
