Wish they would bring back the Outlaw package. I'm looking to purchase a 15 F350 Platinum. Love the painted bumpers, just not a fan of all the chrome accents on the door handles, mirrors etc.
The Outlaw package minus the red pinstripe was one of the best looking Superduty packages Ford offered.
The offer an all black FX4 in the F150, why can't we get it in Superduty??????
I ordered the monotone king ranch in tuxedo black with the dark interior option. It's the closest you can get to having a black truck with minimal chrome from the factory.
I've removed all the stickers (diesel and fx4 badging), sanded and painted the mirror caps, and am happy with it.
The platinum package is awesome but I don't like the tailgate, badging, and chromed door handles.

Great idea! I tried doing a build and price like you said with the KR monotone. This might be my best option.

Everyone has different tastes, but I agree 100%. I like the idea of a heated steering wheel, though.
The outlaw was cool (the dealer tried and tried to get me to buy the one they had). I couldn't get over the "loud" seats with the red inserts. I did like the stuff they did to the exterior (minus the red sticker), though. The black grille, bumper and smoked lights were a nice combination.
Allowing Monochromatic paint on a KR is excellent!

How hard was it to get the Diesel and FX4 badging off? I'm going to be removing mine as well.. I presume that the Diesel Badge (which resembles either a Cowboy's belt-buckle or a 57 Buick Hubcap) is not held on with studs but adhesive...
The decal shouldn't be too hard. A heat gun or hair dryer will help. I peeled the stickers off the drivers side while waiting for the dealer to put the tags on the truck. Once you get the sticker off a little bit of lighter fluid or some goo b gone for the residue and a quick wax and you're good to go.
I guess my best option is the Platinum. Black interior (seats) is a must. Just wish they would lose some of the chrome like door handles, grill surround, letters on the bed and the mirror covers. While I'm dreaming…how about AMP Power steps like the F150 Platinum? I had an F150 Platinum and loved the power steps. The chrome step option on a F350 looks terrible. That will be the first thing I remove when it comes home.
Hope Ford decides to black out an F250 in the future as they have the F150's. The FX4 F150 in all black is one of the best packages they have offered.

Just get it started with a fingernail and peel away. Helps when it's warm outside so you may want to use a hair dryer or heat gun to help.
The KR truck just has a sticker that says 6.7 powerstroke, not the belt buckle.
The belt buckle thing for the diesel emblem is just stuck on there though. I'd use a heat gun, gentle prying, and care if I wanted to remove that emblem. I know lots remove it so it shouldn't be too bad.
But doesn't the monochromatic option for the king ranch include chrome front & rear bumpers? I thought that's what the option details said.
Yes, chrome bumpers but I'm fine with that. I am happy with the truck as long as the mirror caps are black, I hate those chrome caps.
I'm also real unhappy with the wheels. There is a plastic cap covering the entire wheel that gives the appearance of a chrome wheel. I really am going to find out what is under there some day.

Can you get 20's with a KR option? Didn't see them on the build and price. I have seen several pics with them.

Okay sounds good thanks!

Those chrome caps remind me of silver crowns for your teeth.. LOL...
Not sure where Ford comes up with some of this stuff....

Yes. Try to avoid the "chrome clad" wheels unless you really like them, but yes. 20" wheels are available.
The rear differential ratio you want may limit which wheel size you can get. You can't get 20" wheels with the 3.31 rear end. That's only 18"'s. You can get 18" or 20" wheels with the 3.55 rear end. If you jump to the 4.15 rear end I'm not sure what happens but I think you can still get 20" wheels with that.
