Check oil light?

Check oil light?
As I was driving my b4000 around the parking lot this morn I noticed a "check oil" light come on. Anybody know what this is referring to? This happened despite the oil pressure guage being at a normal level and (as far as I've last checked) oil level via the dipstick was adequate. Maybe this is a dummy light to remind one that it's time to change the oil? Any thoughts are appreciated.

than ks for the replies. To answer your question chris, yes i was making all sorts of lame brained moves in the lot. was trailering my boat on the step bumper and was testing it out to make sure it would stay togther on the road.

Check oil light?
Could be you were just a bit low on oil and got enough of it to slosh around that it triggered the light. A long time ago I had a '69 Cyclone that had the factory "competition suspension package". It would corner so hard that it would kick on the oil light even if it was full.
