speaker trouble...

speaker trouble...
04 expedition. navi system. rear dvd. when system starts up volume is reduced, and only front drivers speaker and sub operational at devrease volume almost as if its on mute at max volume.
all other speakers are dead silent.
on the rear entertainment switch i hit the headphone switch which activates the dual play feature and the front speaker comes to life but still quiet on all of the rest of the speakers.
I have found the speaker test by holding 3 and 6 presets and all speakers totally dead except for front drivers and sub but shows pass on the test??
please tell me there is a solution i just got this truck 2 days ago.. google search has 0 responses to this issue.

This doesn't sound like a speaker issue, more with the radio or head unit itself.
Because the speakers will work normally on occasion that tells me they're working as they should be.
Not sure what to suggest at this point---sorry.

the only speaker working at any time is the front drivers speaker. and sub...
when i start the truck its very low volume until i turn on the rear audio the front speaker gets louder.
could this be an amp that had gone?
Where is the amp located in this truck?
