New injector install

I had the local dealer install 8 injectors 7/16/03, the reason I had new ones put in was because of rough idling and smoking quite a bit. Anyways it sure runs better with quicker throttle response, but it still smokes, not quite as bad as before at idle, at 1st start up. Before and now it would smoke at when first fired up, then as it got warmed up it would stop smoking. Any ideas as to why it smokes at first start up?

It could be because your dealer put in junk injectors. Are you sure they were new or remans. My dealer always called them new but I found out later that my dealership only sold rebuilts. They were always garbage and they charged me a bundle for them. One time they had go do it 3 times in a row to get a good set. Trouble is that even a good set of rebuilts will only last 6 months or so. I bought a new set of Stanadyne's off ebay for $200 and put them in myself and they really woke it up and all my smoke problems were gone. Even cold it had one little puff no bigger than a grocery bag and then it was clear. If it's not the injectors it could be a little air is getting into the system at night or you could have low compression.
