How do I do this?

How do I send a pm to a specific member? I have only sent to someone who's avatar is up at the time so I can click on it, or I can respond to a pm that has been sent to me. I have tried 'members' and clicked 'search' and some other ways. I suddenly find myself with lots of time to follow up on stuff, as I just got out of the hospital this past week from a triple bypass. No driving for another 3 weeks. Ouch... What they do to you in there.

If you click on someone's name a dropdown menu box pops up with the option to send that person a PM. All you have to do is find a post made by that person, anywhere.

Go to Members at the top menu bar, once there you will see a dialog off to the upper right "Search Members"

Sometimes it's just as easy to check out someones friend list, you might find them there. Click onto bigwin56F100 in your friend list and go to page 11 but here's his profile https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/member.php?u=48830

Thanks guys. I got it now. It's impossible to think Havi isn't actually the geico caveman. In fact I saw a real photo of Axe and was shocked he was sort of skin color like the rest of us. Next thing ya know, I'll be hearing Spurredon doesn't look like an old philco refrigerator, and I'm hoping Steven (who I miss) doesn't look like the girl from NCIS..... Dang am I rambling now, and I have another week of these pain pills the doc gave me.

Yep, and I'm not really a heartless man made of tin!

Gary, sorry to hear you are temporarily grounded. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

As far as being grounded, one of the last things they did before my release was to pull two 'jumper cables' that went through my chest and had probes right into my heart muscle. The nurse said they were positive and negative and there in case I needed them after the surgery. Since I was born in '53, I'm thinking the positive one was the ground. And Tinman, good thing you live in a dry climate like Montana. If you lived on the West side of the Cascades, we'd be constantly needing to oil your jaw (or your knuckles) just to get another update on your cab-over project.

You must have enjoyed when they pulled the drainage tubes out of your upper belly too then. I had all that wonderful experience 4 years ago.

Hope you're feeling better than usual very soon.

When they pulled the jumper cables, did you ask if they were positive ground?
