What shifter ***** are you using?

I wanted to go with something cool to put on my 4spd. What are you guys running? I saw a guy had the Jaguar off the car drilled and mounted. Pics?
What is the size of the thread on the shifter?

Rip better know the 4wd shift pattern for the xfr case by heart or sharpie it on the back side of the glove box door. Notice the custom xfer case one...

There are tons of options like beer taps, a small piston, lots of free ideas in the tuner car section at the parts store.

Pool ***** like mentioned (an 8 ball is cool), spent 50 cal casing and then you can do this...CAREFULLY, make sure you read this complete thread..

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...bullet+caseing

Its smarter and way safer if you are not a ammo reloading/gun kinda guy, to go to a gun shop and just ask for what you need for the locks and maybe a spent 50 cal casing.

FYI the smooth tipped bullet makes it hard to get a coat hanger around the post to unlock the truck. But it you do not have locking wings, that's the route a scumbag is going. Or thru the slider.... and here is a 10 sec web hunt.

Go to a place like this for free ideas. Custom Shift *****, Cool Shift *****, Shifters & Custom Interior Accessories « American Shifter

A wrench works too but box end up, vice grips....lol. Just do not trash the threads with any crazy idea, it might hve to come off some day the the next owner will appreciate it.

FYI the pistol one is a great way to shock the heck out of a cop and get a real gun in your face or be face down the hard way.

Real cool way of shocking a cop when he shines a light in there at a road side ck and see that 12 gauge sawed off sticking up. Again great way to be face down in the dirt, with a cop kneeling on your neck.

i had a "budlight" tap on my transfer case lever once,a buddy was with me once and he reached down and shoved it forward to low-lock and it snapped off almost cutting a finger off. We headed straight to the hospital, what a mess. After that i always kept stock ****'s, some are pretty kool though.

Yes one thing for sure what ever you use it needs to be palm friendly...that grenade has sharp edges on the top and would be rough on the hand.

My welding instructor in high school used a frag grenade as a shifter in his f150. I never thought the top part of it would be very comfortable

I used to have a beer tap handle on a 3spd floor-shifter. It was the least ergonomic thing in the world. Especially if you really want to row through the gears. If you're a leisurely driver, not as bad.

Get a old "pineapple" training grenade or fakie from e bay and remove the fuse and spoon and mount it upside down. Or do the side ways trick and double the fun.

The elk is a hitch ball cover.

I've got a pretty large motorcycle piston that I turned on it's side and mounted on my trans shifter shaft. It fit pretty well through where the wrist pin would go and is fairly comfortable to shift too. The only part that sucks is it feels so much colder than the plastic **** did in the winter, since it's metal. I've also got a polyurethane gorilla head waiting for me to paint and mount as a tcase shift **** that I got from some dude at the fair who was selling them as shift *****, he had all kinds of goofy stuff. I don't have any pictures at the moment though, sorry.
