Hey everyone, I got a problem. My truck a '97 7.3 is getting about 10-12 MPGs all of a sudden and when I fire it up she blows white smoke for a good 10 minutes. I haven't driven it much since last spring but now I need to because I started driving again. Also the "off" light is blinking on the shifter but the transmission is shifting well and on time but I am running about 2600 RPMs or so at 65-70 MPH. I don't know if these thins are related and sorry if I'm not making it clear enough but that is all the info I have since I started driving it yesterday. It started up right away, I fueled up both tanks drove about 100 miles and used almost 3/4 of one tank. I'll check the filters and probably give her an oil change something I should have done even though I changed it before I parked it bu it sat a few months. Anyway, any ideas? Thanks in advance. Zoltan
I would change all fluids and filters and then get back to us. An oil change and fuel filter change can make a world of difference. I wouldn't be jumping to injectors just yet. Also make sure your fuel is fresh and add some Power Service to the fuel for decent cleaning.
