I bought a 2003 F250 6.0 with 204,000 miles on it this time last year. Little did I know I would have to have the head gasket replaced a few months later. ( I fully believe now I was sold the truck with a blown gasket) . I went with the full bulletproofed fix, delete, and studs. It was all done by a very reputable shop which many others on here have had there's done also. I found out after I had the work done a new guy had done it. I have nothing against New timers as I myself just started a part time mechanic job a few months back. No problems with the truck for a few months until I noticed some coolant loss, took it back and he said a hose clamp was loose. No more noticeable coolant loss after this. Today I opened the hood and was greeted by a familiar sight- white coolant stains around the de-gas tank cap. I sent pictures by email to the shop tonight. The truck has a 24,000 mile warranty on the repairs. Paying the high price for bulletproofing the 6.0, I would hope it wouldn't leak coolant out of the cap. This will be the third time I've had a problem with the head gasket repaired they did. The shop is always been reasonable and everything else they've done has been great but I paid a premium for the bulletproof job and I would hope it wouldn't have any coolant related problems from then on. If you were in my position what would you do? Thanks for the advice
Was the coolant filled to the min mark not the max? The min is the new max, could just be overfilled. Also have you tried replacing the degas cap? Were the heads machined or checked?

I would start with a new oem cap... Just from doing hours and hours of reading here when I had my EX bulletproofed the first thing I asked for was oem gaskets. Seams there has been gasket failures from some generic gaskets after bulletproofing where the OEM's have a much better history. Just my .02
