wont start

Hi All, I am new here. I will help when I can. And also would like help. I have a 1999 f150 4.2 2wd ext cap. Some times when I turn off the engine and then try to restart it, it will not start, but if I spray starting fluid in the intake it will start and keep running and I may be able to turn off and on and run it for a few days before it happens again. Any ideas? Thanks Jake

Also my code hook up does not work. No power there.

When is the last time you did a fuel filter? Check your fuses if the OBD port is dead. IIRC it is the same circuit as the cig. lighter.

Thank you I will check all the fuses tomorrow. I just bought the truck about a month ago.
