04 Explorer Daytime Running Lights?

04 Explorer Daytime Running Lights?
I'll make this quick. We have had my wife's 2004 Explorer for 2 years now. It didn't have daytime running lamps. 2 weeks ago, she ran it out if fuel and the guys playing with it before I got home engaged the PATS system from cranking on it too much. Took Explorer to Ford to have them disable it so it would crank. Now that Ford has played with, we have daytime running lights. Just wondering if this is something they engaged or do I have an issue?
