ebay gears

there is a set of gears on ebay for a dana 44. how can i tell if they will fit my 49 dana 44 rear.

Do they say what they are out of? If they are out of a rear axle they should be okay. If they say reverse cut STAY AWAY since those are for front axles.

i realized after i thought about it more, that they were for the front axle. i emailed the guy and he said he had another pair for the rear to fit a 44. i am going to make sure i have a 44 and see how much he wants.

Do they come with a carrier? If the ratio is 3.07 to 3.73 you will need a different carrier. Watch out for the 30 spline carriers since yours axles are 19 spline(I think). www.Driveline.com/dana44.html can get you what you need.
