2000 F250 SD 4X4 electrical problems HELP!!!
Hello all, I have a big problem, My 2000 F250 Superduty (V-10) 4x4 is acting up. the last two days the ABS light came on, and Last night the abs,and service engine soon lights came on. Also the overdrive off light on my automatic trans shift lever was blinking. I was driving home, and the cruise worked for about 15 miles then it and the speedometer quit working. I can't find any references in my Haynes manual that covers this. Can anyone give me Ideas where to look and what to look for? My truck still starts. Thanks John G.

The first place to check is the speed sensor in the rear end ( top front of the housing.) Remove it from the housing look at it for physical damage then check the resistance. also look at the wiring going to the sensor. If your lucky a new sensor will fix it.

Had a 2000 F250 powerstroke had the speedometer going off randomly and at the same time the overdrive light would start blinking. Called the Ford dealership and they wanted a $150 to run the diagnostics, but he thought it was the speed sensor. I went a bought the speed sensor and it seems to have solved the problem
