I’m pretty sure the interlock is on the top of the steering column at the back of the shift tube.

You can access it by removing the instrument cluster or drop the steering column. I had it out once when replacing the shift tube and I dropped the column. Sounds like you’re going to have to replace some parts on your shifter too. It was a bit difficult to access the bolts, so I’d probably try removing the instrument cluster first, but I’m. Not 100% sure you can get enough access to it that way. There are videos on YouTube to walk you through that.

good morning, fellows.
just an update.
yesterday, i replaced the shift interlock solenoid for the new one. But the thing is:
the shift lever arm, that little aluminum piece was broken( this part

Lever - Ford (F2DZ-7D282-A))

even with the new shift interlock solenoid, still the car doesn’t recognize the parking gear. The light wont turn it on.
i checked the bulbs for the breaks, the fuses. Everything is working. I even bought a new break light switch, but again, dead end.
the breaks won’t turn on, i checked now, even my trailer is not receiving the signal for the breaks.
i went under my van, to check if the gears are in their place. And yes, the gear is on park and locked in the transmission when i put it there.
maybe is something electrical!?
maybe some sensor that makes the car doesn’t read that the gear is on park and then the break lights wont turn on and the gear parking light doesn’t turn on as well?
thanks mates.

IMPORTANT UPDATE-

After i replaced the lever arm and put it back into the shift tube with the new shift interlock solenoid, the park light from the dash turned back on!🙌🙌
i managed to solve this problem. But again, the gear now is stuck on park, again. I have to pull the button from the shift interlock solenoid in order to release the shift from the park.
the break lights still not working.
i checked the break light switch already, the fuses, the bulbs. Everything is fine. Any ideia why only the break light is not working? The bulbs is okay and the light goes on when i turn the car lights on…

now, i will see if the battery will drain or not after 36 hours turned off.

After i broke the arm and the car not recognizing the gear in park. My van used to drain the battery. I will update when i find out!
