I am trying to install a set of headers on a 71 f100 it has an automatic tranny and power steering and hoping to find some advice.
I soaked the old manifold bolts and got them all out without breaking any. happy day. Then the fun began. The headers will not fit in the hole. I believe they would fit if I could get them in but I cant get the in the space between the motor and the frame. Any help or advice would be very welcomed. Thanks for your time.

thanks for the advice sounds better thank removing the motor mount which was the way I was headed. It is a 2wd and I wish I had thought to jack it up before I took the manifolds off. I could have driven it up on ramps. thanks again gentlemen.

In wrecking yard I loosened motor mounts, undid one side, and used a scissor jack between frame and block to increase clearance. In this case to remove header.
