Need Part Number
Does anyone know the part number for the rear transmission mount-to-crossmember isolators for a 1984 F150 4X4 C-6 transmission?
Need to change them while the trans. is out. Part stores don't know what I'm talking about.
Any help appreciated!

Well, in defense of the guys from the parts stores, *I* don't know what you're talking about, either.
Is what you're looking for in these drawings?

Yes, thank you, the part is 6E039 in the drawing. My Haynes manual refers to it as rear transmission mount-to-crossmember isolator. Looks like they were only used on 4X4s.
Thanks for looking that up for me.

I think this is what you need. The #'s are the same for all engines.

Actually, I thought he wanted "A". Isn't it the upper one he wants?
Edit: having re-read it I have no idea what he wants.

E1TZ-6E039-A .. Insulator-Rear Support-UPPER / Obsolete
EDIT: Ford just obsoleted this part.

But the -A says that part number is for a 4WD manual-transmission only (unless I'm reading that wrong, which is possible)

I think the box is showing what all the upper and lower fit. If you look at the other engines it is fairly clear.

Could be, maybe I'm just confused by what it's showing me - that's happened before....

(sigh) (
but you're reading that wrong, which is
typical for a novice ).
Uh huh...the next time you're here .. I'll teach
you how to read a part catalog.
Here's the 300 I-6 page you posted (that you taught me how to do!), how many upper part numbers does it show?
ONE
How many lower part numbers does it show?
ONE
So the applications are for both A/T & M/T and if you look at other engine sizes, as the Oklahoma Kid said...there's no mention of A/T or M/T.

Now that I have you and the Kid's attention:
The good news is: Next week, "She who must be obeyed" and I are going on a 21 night Caribbean cruise.
The bad news is: "She" not only invited Ditsy & Dottie to come along, but also Dog Breath and her daughter.
The good news is: Our cabin is on the Verandah deck, starboard side amidships, while the others cabins are 3 decks below on the port side-forward.
The bad news is: When I go ashore, "She" & Ditsy & Dottie plus Dog Breath & her daughter will also come along.
btw: Don't expect to see me on FTE until 12/5. Internet access on a cruise ship costs between 75 cents to a buck a
minute!

Thanks to all for the info. I probably need both upper and lower for each side but at $90 each it probably won't happen. $360 for 4 isolators is more than I care to spend when other things are needed to complete the project.
I very much appreciate the effort from everyone.
