Help. I have troubles with the ride suspension, first I ordered a RY319 Relay
F3LZ 2C013B. However cant find the relay on my 2004 navigator. They say its behind the passengers fog light. Its not there, I called the local Lincoln parts dept they say the truck has one definitely. Can anyone help locate this relay?
secondly: I took the compressor out actually, I was hunting for the relay and I said If I took it out I should surly see the relay not! So I decided to bench test the air compressor, I grounded to the battery and put hot to the thick red plug. Nothing, Im thinking I have a bad compressor. No clicking nothing at all.
I believe that in 2004 the air suspension relay was still up on the front radiator support. Lay on the ground on your back, with your head approximately under the passenger side fog lamp and look up on the front of the radiator suppport. It should be up there (unless the support has rusted out, letting the relay dangle from its wiring harness), about as high as you can reach, about at the level of the headlamp. At least you have the new relay, so you will have an idea of what you are looking for. (IIRC, it is a MOSFET relay so it doesn't look like a black plastic cube, but looks more like a heat sink with wires plugged into it.)
switch over to the stock coil struts.......as that air system gets older and older you will be spending big money left and right chasing the multiple culprits that cause many different air suspension problems
Air suspension is great when its new and under warranty...after the warranty runs out its better to switch back to the tried and true coil struts
Did that to my 2005......cant tell the difference..piece of mind
