What are the differences in longbed and shortbed running boards?

I am assuming the longbed boards are the same from the front fender to back of the cab. I am then guessing that from the cab back to the rear fender they are longer and narrower?

Anyone have some images for comparison?

You are correct they are longer and narrower, the 8 foot beds are wider. This is a nine foot bed running board but the width in the rear is the same as an 8 foot

C = F1/F100 / D = F2/F250 / Y = F3/F350 / T = F5/F500 / TH = F6/F600 / THQ = B/F700 / Q = F750 / QH = F800 / QHS = F900 / Z = F700 Tandem Axle.

Y (F350) Express = 9' bed.
