Power steering question

Hey guys, I am planning on restoring my 1972 Ranger XLT in a couple of months. I want to do away with the manual steering and install power steering. I know I need to change the steering wheel assembly to do this as well, also mine being an automatic. My problem is with the steering box. Which steering box do I need? I was told that these trucks used 2 different types sometimes, a Ford brand box and a Bendix brand box. I was told that one or the other would make your steering wheel assembly stick up too far inside the cab.Any truth to that? Any help for me on this subject???

Power steering question

Nice looking truck! The Ford box would be correct. That is what I have in a 70 F-250 and a 71 F-100.
