I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for gears for the 10.25's, I am looking for 6.XX gears for my truck. This would be for a bush truck, I was hoping to find gears similiar to the ones for 60's and 70's where thier cut for strength not for low noise.
5.38 is the deepest that is commonly available, there are/were Ford 7.17's but they are impossible to find.
However, if you are running a high pinion 60 front, 5.38 is its limit as well.
With a 44" tire 5.38's are equivalent to 3.55's with a 31" tire which is pretty standard fare for a 250/350.
Something in the 6.30 range would be nice but doesnt exist.
I considered a doubler, considering my front end is built around a single case Im just going to have to make do with 5.38's and 44's. My only saving grace is low first in these s-42's.
