Do It Yourself kit-easy or hard?

I've got a 1997 F250 7.3L extended cab, long bed. I'd like to buy a kit to install myself.

How much of a pain is this going to be? I'll be on asphalt on my back...no lift. Truck is raised 6". I know the downpipe is going to be a pain, but how much of a pain really is it?

I'm thinking about going from the turbo back...straight pipe. Possibly a muffler? I've got a cat that I'd like to eliminate.

Are there any kits you could recommend. I was thinking about the diamond kit because it's the cheapest. But cost is kind of a second concern...not worried about spending more if it's worth the cost.

Thanks for any help with this subject!
