Another Trip Report

We just returned from a 62 day trip across country with our F350.

As you can see, the trip was 8353.2 miles.

We towed our old trailer 1404.1 miles to Colorado Springs where we picked up our new Excel for a total of 7346.8 miles.

Trip report: The truck performed perfectly. End of report end of story.

That's a good haul. And good fuel mileage if you ask me.
That's cool, I never knew there was a trailer mileage odometer.
But then again I've only put about 4000 miles on a truck with that cluster. Usually I drive them with the standard cluster.

I agree Steve, the trailer odometer is a very cool feature. Plus you can set it up for multiple trailers. If I'm not mistaken it only tracks trailers with electric, or electric over hydraulics, brakes as it uses the brake circuit to detect trailer connection.

I've got a small 28' travel trailer, last trip got 13.8. But it was here in Illinois (land of corruption), and flat as a pancake.
Went to Florida last winter and averaged 12, love this truck.

Got to love the trailer odometer so you can keep track of the miles on the tires.

Excellent report...

I agree Troy and it's totally automatic. There seems to be a lot of 6.7 owners out there that don't know this information actually exist.

It sounds like you had a wonderful trip!! And, it appears you came down I35 thru Kansas, which means you passed 3 1/2 miles from my house. You should have got a really good look at what your rig's mileage will be on level ground....
Not very much unlevel highway in Kansas. We love our rig also, they sure are 5th wheel pulling machines.

We did spend some time in Kansas Jim. We spend a little time on I35 from Wichita into OK until we made a left turn toward Tulsa.

While in Kansas we did find the center of the lower 48 and the world's largest ball of twine.

We did around 6,000 miles out west and back this summer. My average was in the 11mpg range overall, and that was even getting stuck using B20 in California.

Hooking up and heading south in about 4 weeks. Can't wait to let the "Big Dog Eat".
