I need to replace the old brittle cab and radiator support rubber bushings and hardware on me old ladies 79 F150 4x4. Now's the time to do it since the cabs off and sandblasting the frame. My question is what brand of bushings is everyone using on there trucks? I'm definitely not going with LMC as they have crap for parts and don't want them cracking and going to **** after a short time. Are Dennis Carpenter mounts good anyone know where I can get some NOS ones?
There is NPD, Ebay, Carolina Classic's, Mac's and some others. I have gotten parts from these and I have used LMC; with pretty good luck with all. Some of the parts I have got from LMC came in box's with Dennis Carpenter's name on them, that LMC sold cheaper than they were though Dennis Carpenter.
I just picked up some NOS bushings for the steering ram for my 76 off of Ebay for half the cost of the parts suppliers above and got than with free shipping..

You wont find the original bushings with the inserts that mushroom anywhere (that I know of) but DC has some nice black rubber bushings that I'm pretty sure are the same. Plus, their kit comes with the bolts, washers and nuts.
I went with the Prothane mounts on my F250. They don't come with the hardware but I prefered using grade 8 zinc coated hardware anyways. Plus, I thought the polyurethane bushings would last longer than the rubber ones and I liked having red bushings every where I could under the truck. I'm slowly replacing all the bushings on my Bronco with Prothane bushings as well.

Reason: typo
I've dealt with LMC in the past with body panels and cab bushings on my 71. All of which were pieces of s*** I'd like to shove right in there faces if I could. So they are definitely out of the question. I was thinking about poly bushings but rather stay with some rubber ones. My question leans more towards the quality of the bushings then who all offers them as I already know a lot of these parts sources just haven't heard any reviews on mac's Carolina Classic ect As far as there bushings go. I'm leaning towards Dennis Carpenter or try to find some NOS ones that may take some searching.
