I know about the hinge swap on a 08-11 to fit a 99-07 but does a 2014 tailgate fit the 02 f350? Can't seem to find where anyone has done one that new, I found a killer deal for a step gate with camera and want to jump on it if it fits.
Are you sure? They look the same to me as the 08-11 but with the extra body line on top. One thing that I seen in a post was someone saying the tail light area between the body lines is buldged out with the tail lights, anyone know if thats true? I wish I could know for sure or see a pic of one done on a 02 before dropping the $. I know the 08-11 fit great .
On craigslist perhaps? Are you sure it's not stolen?
No they are a bunch of take offs from a mac something, cant remember the name ,company fleet, they just bought new trucks and they have tailgates from ford, chevy, Toyota. 3 with step and camera and one plain .
The bodyshop that painted my tailgate said the 08-14 tailgates fit on the 99-14 trucks. Just hearsay, but that's what they found when they researched the tailgate for my truck. I went with the '10 because of proximity, I could pick it up versus having one shipped.
So I picked my 2014 tailgate today and noticed a piece on the bottom side my old 02 doesn't have. Its a tab that sticks down on the bottom side under the flex fuel badge. What is this?
Its fits great.only difference is on this 14 tailgate there is that extra tab/bracket on the passenger side bottom, you have to are that off unless you have a 14 bumper.the new bumper has a notch in it to clear the tab.not sure what that tab does on the new truck but just remove it and put the bolts back into the holes.dont like the camera badge though so it and the tail gate harness will be for sale.
