Expedition hood

Question Expedition hood

Does anybody know if a hood from a 2000 will fit on a 1998 with-out any mods.

Expedition hood

The rear portion of the hood will line up fine. The grille is diffrent from 97-98 to 99-02. It drops down a bit in the center and is a little rounder.

The grille change in '99 does not affect the contour of the leading edge of the hood. All '97 - '02 hoods should be interchangeable.

Best bet: Ask the parts man at your nearest Ford dealer if the part number for a 1997 hood is different than a 2002 hood. If the answer is no, my answer is right.

Expedition hood

I believe the hoods are the same but the grill and bumpers are different,but,as Paul stated check with your parts man to be sure.
