Blue7.3 ,I did a lot off the work myself but my business takes me away a lot so I gave it to a mate who owns his own shop . He fitted the parts I orderd from the USA for me as I was on a dead line . But happy all good now... Thanks once again for your input ....any ideas about the tuner ???

 

No sorry Matt I've had no experience with the Diablo sport Predator tuner, I'm sure someone will chime in and give yo some ideas.

What does it do when you want to take it back to stock?

 

Blue7.3 , it won't let me go back or do anything just tellme it's already backed up ...try's to re boot but can't..

I think it's the 100 hp tune . It came with the car wen I got it not sure if unlocked ....

 

Okay that's alright just trying to find out if you have just brought it from someone else and it was still locked.
Have you tried disconnecting both batteries for 15-20 minutes and retry the programmer?
It may just need to be reset.

 

When the PCM got sent away the battery's wer disconnected for 4 days still no good...

 

Oh i see, are you getting power to the OBD11 port?

 

We have had a scanner plugged in and had no probs

 

Starting to sound like your Diablo sport Predator tuner has a problem (Gremlin)

I have had a SC 1705 programmer before and it work on the same principle, they are all electronic units so the can be acceptable to failure.

 

Yea I'm thinking so .. How do I get it back to standard ?? Do I have to go to ford to get them to reboot it ?? What tuner are u useing now??

Did you put it back to stock before you removed the PCM?
No don't take it to the dealers , someone will be able to help you so you don't have to keep throwing money at your truck.

 

I may be barking up the wrong tree but it sounds like the tuner is
trying to backup the existing tune from the truck and cant because
it has no room as its onboard memory already has a backup stored
from a previouse tune change.

Is there some way to dump whatever the thing has stored, or
some button to reset the thing to factory default?

 

One thing. Did you have the doors closed and the windows up when trying to change the tunes. I have know experience with Diablo but just try it. And what ever you do dont take it to a dealer
