engine conversion

i have a 86 lincoln continental with a bad 302 and i want to convert it to a 351m what will i need to make the swap

hmmm, first would be finding a Lincoln website.
Second, is buy a Bronco and dump the Lincoln
Bruce (Big Red Bronco)

You're going to have a difficult time dropping a 351M in there. You'd be much better off going with a 351W.

engine conversion

the 302 and the 351M have different motormounts and bellhousings, try stick to motors that were offered in the car from factory. (like a windsor)

a windsor will bolt up to mostly everything except you'll need to take the pullies and accessory bracketry because of the increased deckhight. (also the throttle linkages are different, but that's an easy fix) I don't think you'd have to upgrade your rad for an extra 51ci

also you might have some hood clearance issues. because the 351 might sit a bit higher at least they do when dropped into a fox body stang.
