No Brakes!!

I am wondering if anyone has ran into this issue. I was parking my truck and the brakes wouldn't depress and I almost crashed into another vehicle that was parked. I am taking it in tomorrow to have Ford look at it but I want to see if anyone has had any similar experiences.

Hydroboost brakes sometimes will do a kickback but if I recall you would have vacumn brakes now on yours. Who knows what the issue is. A failing master cylinder or booster perhaps.

I'm glad you're having your dealership diagnose this, Hard Workin. How many miles are on your truck? Come back and let us know what you hear from the dealer.

You are correct, vacuum brakes for the 2011 F250.

Is this covered by any warranty? What does something like this cost to repair? Never read about one breaking before on FTE....

It wasn't covered under the warranty but under the esp so once I get the truck back I will post how much it would have cost. The pump is a special order item so I can't imagine that it is cheep.

One thing to tell you is what they say the the warranty paid them is not what you would pay with out the esp. There is a big diff..

Well I got my truck back last night and I can stop...YAY... The ESP paid out about 250 bucks so the repair would have cost around 5-600 bucks.

Well brakes went out again today almost plowed through a stop sign... Towed to my local dealership. Hopefully they will be able to fix the problem so I can move. This already put me 4 days behind now I am looking at another 4 days behind... I can't seem to win right now.

I want to step in and do what I can to turn this around, Hard Workin. Send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership; I'll escalate this to your regional customer service manager.

X2 this is a big safety issue and I think that some help from the big office maybe needed.
