I would like to replace the center console in my 85 horsey but have had a hell of a time fonding one that was in decent shaoe, or an aftermarket that was either wide enough or tall enough. Anyone have any ideas?

Try Tuffy security products, they make a high security center console, made of steel for about $250. I've noticed that it slightly bigger than the stock unit. I haven't had any problems as of yet, but installation was aggrevating (took me about 3 hours). Hope this helps.

 

I just saw a couple consoles on e-bay this morning...latch worked but no key for about $60-75. My latch is broken too, so I called my local Ford dealer and they can get a new latch but I have to change out the key lock cylinder myself. Anyone have any idea how hard of a job that would be, because it would be nice to be able to lock my console with my existing key?
