What will fit
I have a 1999 f250 4x4 with a 7.3 I was wondering what would fit from a 1999 f250 5.4 I know the rear driveshaft is not the same but wondered about transmission,front driveshaft ,rearend(the are both 373)transfer case and steering box. I know i can tell by running all the numbers and looking at everything but i havent had a chance and i just wondered if anybody knew off hand.

The transmission will not work and you steering is hydro boost in the diesel not sure if the gas steering box has fittings for hydro. If the rear driveshaft is different the pinion yoke is also probably different but only one nut to change. You should be able to use everything else.

Thanks for the info. My rear drive shaft is a 2 piece so that is out but I had mine completely rebuilt last year so I am good there. I can buy the whole truck for 700 with 3 brand new studded tires. only a couple body parts are any good but I am sure I can get some good parts and then scrap it for a couple hundred.

All the interior parts are the same, except the instrument cluster, if you need anything in there, Glass is always good to hold on to, if you have a place to store it, put a thread on FTE before you junk it, we are always looking for parts, I need a cup holder for my 99 and would be willing to buy it if it's in good shape. Just my 2 cents
