Tailgate Lock
I have noticed that sometimes when I go to open my tailgate, it is locked. I never lock it because I have no cover over the bed. Is this just from vibrations driving down the road or what??

Tailgate Lock
I've seen a few trucks do this for no good reason. There was a TSB on it which i cant find right now. Basically you just removed the inner panel off the tailgate to get at the handle etc, removed the handle and lock and put them back together. Nothing got replaced or anything but it did seem to fix it. I never could figure out exactly how it fixed it but it seemed to. I've also seen guys put a small spring on the lock rod inside the handle to keep it where it belongs.

I didn't either Jimmy...I know on mine when you turn it half way right then middle it locks and half way left and middle it unlocks...I think thats right lol if not it's the other way around...But this has happen to me a few times but not as often as you...I have two tool boxes on mine so I don't have a bed cover either...Which reminds me I really dislike it when someone closes my tail gate by pulling the handle foward then closeing it then letting the handle go ...thats not right in my opinion cause then you have to hit it once to make it lock in...I just lift it up and close that thang.,...My workers are goign to ruin my trucks on of these days lol
