Poor idle - TPS?
my 89 F250 hd idles poorly, dies in "n" or "p".
I think it is TP sensor. I will pull the codes on it.
Where can I get a replacement? Do any of the parts stores have it? Or is the way to go is to get a OEM TPS?

It is a pretty common sensor, most any auto parts will have it. I would check into the ICM( idle control motor), it is the round piece on the throttlebody with 2 wires going to it. This controls the idle speed .

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to pull the codes on it. I was hoping to get a bad code for it and then replace it.
Are you saying it doesn't matter who the maker is, whether it is OEM or not?
