Looking for Engine

Hello All,

So after all the hard work and 16 grand in parts in the last 18 months my 7.3 was stolen out of the work parking lot.

I have now purchased an 08 f350 4x4 SB Crew 6.4ltr with a blown engine.
I pick it up from dealer its sitting at on monday. Its my buddies truck and has 98k on it.
The dealer has engine tore down and sitting in bed.

Im looking for a 6.4 Ltr Engine ASAP.

What should I do to said new engine while its out?
Do Deletes? Any kit better than the others?
I have to run a tuner if I want to delete correct?
What tuner options?

Head Studs I hear. Why?

I know nothing of 6.4s. Im a FTE/self taught 7.3 backyard mechanic whos not afraid to learn by trying.

Other mods to do ?!?!?!?

HAggs, HAte to hear your luck on the truck after you got it straightened out. I think you would have a better response in the 6.4 section. I have worked on a few but its mostly been exhaust DPF issues. I swore I would buy a gas truck before buying one of those.

Run up to the top of the diesel sub forum to the "diesel" forum. There is a member Parkland that may have the 6.4 you desire. It has 244k kilometers but may be serviceable.
