checked the value of my 77 as well.. $3,455 low retail? Are you serious?? 
I paid 500 bucks for it! like others have mentioned, no wonder why some people are selling these old trucks and their parts for such high ridiculous prices....NADA must be smokin' the good stuff..

It's also from shows like Gas Monkey Garage and the like, just listening to the money these guys throw around, and I'm sure that a lot of it is scripted, that's driving these prices up too.
