What do you think ?

Im torn between either 2.5 lift for my truck (longer springs in the front and an add a leaf in the rear) or doing at 6LITRE tune on my truck coming this next summer. the cost wise they are about the same. Now i know people are goinbg to ask what do you do with your truck? well i normally just drive it. ill pull some small stuff hear or there and the biggest load would be a 1992 gmc jimmy mud truck that has been modded with a good safe trailer. but thats like maybe 2-3 times a year. i normally just cruse and maybe some minor off-road (nothing a stock truck couldnt do). both upgrates will be done soon enough but whats your 2 cents?

Thanks guys

also i and looking at doing a billet grill with clear headlights with 10000k HIDs and LED spot lights

ps here is what the jimmy looks like if anyone cares

I would do the 6litre tune up first, better to take care of the engine first and keep it happy and efficient.

I think your mud truck needs mud tires
If the truck needs a tune up, definitely do that, 6L or not, but it shouldn't cost as much as a lift. Check out rockauto.com for cheap parts. Unless it's something I need right now, I don't buy parts at the auto parts stores any more and it saves me cash for more fun. Don't be offended, but if you're planning a $100 job that takes 2 hours to complete 6+ months in advance, I'll assume you are very broke: definitely skip the lift kit.

its not that im very broke its im a college student so my truck goes into storage in the winter lol. and to do the proper 6LITRE tune its around 160-190$ in parts and the lift is about 175 $ but id have to get someone else to install the add a leaf because i have no idea how to do that lol. but same thing if i do the tune i need someoine else to bump my times because i cant do that either :P

tires are coming as well i just cant decided on what size 31,32, OR 33

Ah gotcha. Just excited about it then. Sounds like a "leveling kit" up front, just keep in mind you'll need to set the camber afterwards, and an alignment shop that knows how to do that well on these trucks isn't usually cheap. You're in college; do yourself a favor and instead of saying "I have no idea how to do that", look it up (typically that's what college is for: learning how to ask the right questions, life is no different) and try it. I'm sure you can figure out, you'll learn more that way and will probably gain some tools.

A timing light shouldn't cost more than $50, and doing a timing change isn't very difficult at all, just go in small increments. It's literally one bolt that's easy to reach..
