Question 78 Ranchero pilot

Long live the '78 GT 400!
Runs great - body so-so, but what do you want for a Michigan car. I do have a question on dash lights, however. I only have about half of them, and they are VERY dim. They've always been, but they used to be bright enough to work with, at least. Now, not so much. I cleaned all the connections on the circuit sheet long ago, and replaced all the lights and sockets. I've also very recently replaced the headlight switch and pigtail due to other issues. The fader rheostat will turn the courtesy lights on, and will also turn the panel lights completely off, but will NOT brighten them. I suspect a bad ground, but is there something else I should be aware of?

Welcome buddy! Clear all your wiring first as well as checking fuse before going further.
