ahh
very little difference between 62001 +62002
62002 makes a little more hp and has a more noticeable idle
once you get all your specs post them and i'll run a DD5 sim for you .
Let me know if you get something drastically different than this. I couldn't figure out how to get the cylinder head info in there but they had generic info that was close. Pretty cool software!
Yup 0.060. Unbored blocks don't exist around here. I looked and asked around from local ford guys, pick a parts yards, ebay and craigslist. The one I bought supposedly was stock bore (it was fully assembled and I wasn't in a place to pull it apart when I picked it up). Machine shop called yesterday to tell me it was already 0.030 over. Unless I find another block that hasn't been bored quick, it will be 0.060 over.
I like your numbers better! I didn't think it would pull that much torque or power. I thought max HP would be more like 370-390. I'll be buying new tires every six months with that torque and power!!!! I also just found, picked up and dismantled a unmolested block today!!! Cylinders are clean, no pitting, gouges, etc. My engine/parts/master of anything auto buddy (everyone has one right?) came through in the clutch! Should have machined and assembled in a few weeks.
I have major traction problems with 3.25 gears and the 62001 cam with 275/60/15 tires .
i am not familiar with dyno2000 does it have a lot of detailed input or just basics ?
DD5 is pretty detailed
Dyno 2,000 is pretty detailed. I actually went to edelbrocks website and found the benchflow #'s for my heads and manually added them and came up with similar numbers to yours earlier today. You can put your specs in to calculate stuff like compression ratio or if you know you can just enter it. Cam specs are very detailed. I ran across a bootlegged version of it and took a chance and downloaded it. Sounds like DD5 has more actual parts to choose from where Dyno 2000 you either pick a generic part (like 4barrel dual plane intake vs 2bbl single plane, etc.) or have to punch in specs for every catergory (intake, compression, heads, carb, cam, etc)
I am surprised your engines #'s were that much different than mine. Your specs sound similar to mine except your running a bigger cfm carb. I'm guessin your home ported heads are stock? I ran my simulation again with stock sized valves and came up with similar numbers that your engine had. I've never used any of these programs before, but now I'm hooked!
my heads are c8ae-h stock valves 2.02/1.55 with the home port job
I got my copy of DD5 after I built the 390 , If I had it before I would have picked a few different parts (cam ,intake&heads)
oh well I still have my 360 in garage for a 445 build one day
