I need some input

Please...

I want everyone's honest opinion on this. Do you think Clevite 77 bearings are a good brand to use versus, say Sealed Power? I'm rebuilding a 400 to go into my truck and I can get the Clevite bearings from work. The mains I have to get from Summit though. No one else can get them. I have two cam kits picked out from Comp Cams. One is a 268H grind with .494 lift on the intake and exhaust with 218 duration on both. The other is .519 on the intake and exhaust with a duration of 224 on both intake and exhaust. Which kit would you most likely choose? Just trying to get some other opinions. Thanks all!!

Use the Clevite and the 268H if you have to. There are other dual pattern grinds that will work better on your Ford. Clevite makes good bearings.

Clevite is a good brand. I'd use them.

The cam selection is a little more iffy. You need to determine what you want the engine to do, then get a cam to do it. You may have to search around for the best one. I personally like a dual pattern cam. I have one in .484-.510 and it does well for a street- towing engine.

Don't pay much attention to the Chevy and Mopar guys when they talk about cams. You have big valves and ports which don't need as much cam.
