I stoped at a car lot the other week with the truck, and looked at a used SD with a 8"pro-comp lift. I measured from the center of the front hub directly up to the bottom of the fender and came up with 30". I got home and measured my truck with my 4" and 3" combo, and came up with 31". Could someone with a 8" lift measure there's to compare. I'm going to need tires in the near future and was wondering what will fit.
Take a measurement from the top of your axle tube to the bottom of your frame rail (in the front) and I can give you a pretty good idea of what will clear. Theoretically you should have approximately 11.5". This with a 3" body should clear a 37/12.5 on 10s.
I measured from the top of the axle tube between the front shocks to the frame where the bump stops bolt, and got exactly 12". I only have 8" wheels to keep them in the fenders, but I was figuring on trying a set of 37's.
