Replacing Freeze Plug 91 4cyl
I have a `91 Ranger with a 4 cylinder, just turned 100550 miles and noticed I was loosing radiator juice. I’ve found a small pinhole in the freeze plug located in the back of the motor. The mechanic has told me that the head would have to be pulled in order to replace it. I’m thinking that pulling the head is a little drastic to replace the freeze plug, but it is in a rather inaccessible location. Does this sound right? How long should a job like that take, if that’s the route I need to go?
