Hey Guys! My 2 pennies...
I put in dual batteries. One to keep my engine and OEM equipment in shape and the spare for all the junk I've added. Works good for me.
I like Interstate Batteries......

In a very hot climate, like here in Florida, I am constantly having to check the water in my battery. Would a sealed battery like the Optima be beneficial around here? Or would you guys still suggest a good Group 65 battery and just checking the water often?
Hey Aaron, I would lean towards the Optima or an equal to it, if my off-roading equipment needed some help. I would still go with the dual battery set-up. Exterior lighting, a winch, compressor, 2-way radio etc., eats up some reserve when you're just idling for hours at a time.
A sealed marine battery is comparable in size and operation. The price on the other hand is a big factor.
