Differences between 87' 302 and 90 351

I'm trading one of my vehicles for an 87' F150 with a 302. I already have a 1990 Bronco with a 351w.

Was just wondering what differences I should expect between the two motors or vehicles? not swapping them or anything, but I know my 351w and Bronco like the back of my hand.

Didn't they have dual fuel pumps? and wasn't it a messier SD setup in 1987? any major differences I should know about that anyone can think of?

The motors share little in common but they do look similar and the EFI systems are very similar. The fuel system on the '87 is a disaster compared to your '90, it has low pressure pumps in each tank and a selector valve and high pressure pump on the frame rail.

Well, I know the 302 and 351w's block differences. I know they have different throttle bodies, intakes, etc, 302 is narrower.

It's the electronics, fuel system, etc that im talking about. I dunno how similar the SD from 87 is to the 90. Same sensors and whatnot? (IAC, TPS, etc)

Yeah, I vaguely remember something about the fuel system being retarded in 87.. but I also thought the elctronics were a bit screwy in the late 80s too.

The EFI systems are very similar, wiring is a little different from year to year all the way through this series('87-97) but the sensors are all the same and there are only minor differences in the SD computers.. they're pretty much interchangable. 1986 was the first year for EFI on the truck 5.0 so it is the oddball.

The 5.0 and 5.8 intakes are different as are the fuel rails but the TB is the same, accessory brackets are the same, heads are the same.

Oh okay, I hsould have known the throttle body was the same, I'm actually using a 302 intake (the rubber pieces) on my 351w.

that's all good to know and thanks for your help. I hope this deal goes through.. trading a 1995 Chevy K1500 Z71 for a 1987 F150 with a 302 and feel like it's an amazing deal.
