Is this a bargain
The block is a C9VE-B casting, the heads are D0VE-A castings, the roller rockers are Comp Cams IIRC it also has a mild comp cams cam installed.
I bought this 10 years ago with the intention of using it in a project that never happened. It's sat covered in my workshop not being used and I don't see me using it anytime soon, so it's time for it to go. The block is a 1969, the heads are 1970 and both are desirable pieces for someone wanting a big block Ford. Because it's been sitting so long I would at a minimum strip it down and put a new gasket kit in it before using it. I had planned on doing a complete rebuild since I didn't know the history of it other than a buddy bought it put the cam and rockers arms on it and then needed some cash instead of an engine before he installed it into anything.
The NP435 is missing the gear shift retainer, but it should be an easy find at a junk yard. There is an NP205 attached to the transmission and I also have a bell housing to go with it all.
I’m looking to get $650 out of everything. I mainly want to get it out of my shop to make room for another project I’d like to start.
This cap has two notches, is retained to the shift tower with two pins.
This cap must be pressed down by hand, and held down while turning it to remove it.
Some people are unaware, use pliers or channel locks to remove it, which tears out one or both of the notches.
