ok...85 bronco...cancer so bad you wonder when the body is going to start to fall off. I have done some sheet metal work and can get the replacement body parts fairly cheep. But my main thing is, the tailgate. So holy at the bottom I am always backing over people praying at it. I can get a replacement, used, tailgate for about $400 with glass and all, but then I will have to switch out the key cylinder. But i have yet to figure out how to get the window back UP when the tailgate is open. Cant get to the clips on the cylinder with the glass in the way. Or would I be better off just getting a new skin and doing the body work?
An empty new skin is $250, so a complete used one for $400 is a MUCH better investment ($200 glass & $100 motor included). Click my signature and look thru the Tailgate Tech album. It tells 2 ways to move the glass.
