Front Parking Sensors?
I tried searching this one and came up dry. I have a 2011 F350 KR and I want to install front bumper parking sensors. Not even sure if that was an option that year. My wife's 2012 Expedition Limited has them and they sure do make it nice for pulling into a parking spot. My truck already has the rear camera and sensors so I would think that it couldn't be too complicated to add. Anybody done this yet?

No the sensors were not an option in MY2011.
I did not add sensors, but I did install a lockpick and mount a front camera. Works great. Every time the vehicle speed drops below 3-5 mph the camera automaticly comes on. Allows you to see everything in front of you. My wife can finally park the truck within a parking space...

I bought a license plate sensor off of amazon and installed it thru one of my upfitters. Its the little black pieces on the upper corners of the plate in the pic. Works just like the ones in my Wife's 2013 KR Expy and works well so far.

I need to continue researching this. I really don't need the camera, just the sensors. I like that piece of mid of knowing when you are about to clip that other car while pulling into a parking spot. Like I said, the sensors on the wife's Expedition are a life saver. I'm thinking that I'll just go to the dealer and buy a 4 pack of sensors and look up how they are wired into the Expedition and just copy that on my truck. Fun part will be integrating the sensor chime into the audio system...

I don't get why they would put the sensors on some vehicles and not others. I had them on my '12 Expedition Limited also and really miss them on my truck. I have been considering a front camera

I'm also inclined to wonder how accurate the license plate mounted sensors are, being as though they aren't actually mounted on the corners of your bumper. The manufacturers all claim that they can be calibrated to be made accurate but who knows.

My, how we've all forgotten how to drive... LOL... Remember looking over your right shoulder to back up and knowing where your front bumper ends when pulling in? Really though, if you were nervous about a tight spot, why not just back in making use of your exsisting camera and rear sensors? Personally, I've toyed with the idea of killing those off too as they drive me nuts when the tailgate is down or when hooking up to one of my trailers but I guess most people like them.
