I know I need some little pieces around the right tail light, and there's a couple of more, but I can't remember exactly which ones. I'll make an inventory of what's good and what's not and let you know.

Wally, sorry, but I went by my old place and the thieves have stripped that truck. All trim, tail lights, marker lights and even took all of the A/C vents and controls out of the cab.
Anybody got any good exterior trim for a '77 F250, Ranger, Camper Special, longbed laying around. Or any hints on a supplier.
Coulda used that rollback last week. When I went to get the above truck, the owner left out the whole F250/longbed part of the description. My poor ol' F100 slick pulled it ok, just didn't want to stop too well.
This is the truck im currently stripping. Im not going to use the outside trim. I have more pictures on face book.
J(John, James? CRS strikes)
That truck is not only the right trim level(they had 2 different side molding packages), but it's the same original colors as the truck we've got.
What else besides the passenger door is bad?
I know I need the lower bed trim on the driver's side and the right tail light trim as well as the piece around the right rear marker light. Also the left rear cab corner piece for the upper molding is gone. I'll do a better inventory and see what else I might need.
What a difference a week makes. Last weekend I was thinking I needed to start bailing water...this weekend it's just down right beautiful out there!

Or just a 3/4 ton truck designed for towing...say one with a PowerStroke under the hood. I hear there a couple of guys in this chapter that own one or two.
Its James. Dont worry about the crs, I have it to. What else is bad, hell I cant remember. I walk around it everyday & cant tell you what all I have left on it I want to keep. There isnt much left on it that I want to keep & Im tired of looking at it. So pretty much anything from it wont be hard to get.
Zack, my truck didn't have a bit of problem pulling the load. Stopping it was another kettle of fish altogether.
James. here's the list. Looks like you might have most of what I need.
top(in dent)molding-right rear end piece(goes around marker light and kicks down)
left door top(in dent) molding
lower race track:
left door
left bed side and rear corner/vertical piece
right bed side and rear corner/vertical piece
back of cab above bed, both left and right pieces
both tail light bezels, and both drip rail moldings
Oh, if the dash pad is as good as it looks in the video, I could probably use that. Otherwise I'll get new.
seat hinge trim for the left side
dash bezel/face on the glove box side
I have to crow about an excellent bargain I got yesterday...the local farm & ranch store had Fram CH9549 filters on the clearance rack yesterday. These are the repackaged Racor/Ford oil filters used on the 6.0L/6.4L trucks/vans. At Walmart they usually go for about $18; you can mail order them through RiffRaff for $14...and if you like getting raped, your local Ford dealership will generally sell them for $25-$30. The ones I picked up yesterday had a price sticker of $9...so I picked up all four on the rack knowing I was getting a bargain. I get up to the check-out and the little girl asked if I got these off the clearance rack, to which I said something to the effect of sure. Her reply "well they're 50% this weekend". So I'm thinking I was getting 50% of the WalMart price, still a good deal. She pull out a calculator and to figure out what to manually override the computer on the cash register. Basically I just walked out the door with four filters for $4.50 each Dam, I wish they would have a case of them sitting there.

That is what my sarcastic comment was based on. While the 7.3L don't have it as easy as those of us with 6.0L (and newer)...the SuperDuty chassis is well equipped for towing. Where the 6.0L and up excel over the 7.3L guys...transmission braking via the 5R110W slushbox. While it's not as effective as an exhaust brake, it's better what the 7.3L guys are stuck with (nothing). And in the case of most trailers under 9,000 pounds...it will slow you down without having to press the brake pedal down.
Actually, I was thinking disc brake kit and maybe the Toyota steering box upgrade.
That little 302/C6 had no problem pulling the load at 55-60 on the freeway, and that's just about as fast as I think you should be pulling a rig like that anyway.
I only do those 4-5 times a year. Mostly it's either just the truck or the truck with my 5x8 utility trailer on it. I think a bigger truck would be overkill.
James, forget the trim, the guy sent me an email and wants to pop the $2k for new re-pop stuff. The only pieces I worry about finding are the lower racetrack pieces for the sides of the long bed. NPD has "Call" listed where the price should be.

Oh well. If you or anyone needs the trim let me know. If no one gets it, it will all get hauled off with some other aluminum.
Posted my '85 & '86 on mine & another facebook group. Figured posting here wouldnt hurt.
1986 F350 Crew cab long bed dually & 1985 F350 Chassis cab 161" wb. Both 2wd. 1985 has 11.5' dump bed, side boards not on there now. Engines & transmissions I am keeping. Axles are 50/50 about me keeping. Everything else is fair game. Will part out.
