I have an 87 ford bronco with a 351w with a 4 barrel carb. I have to replace the intake.Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions. It came stock with 4 barrel carb and Im assuming they are 4v heads. I removed all the egr and pollution control. Will I run into any problems buying a intake setup with non egr. Im trying to buy something that is affordable. I dont really want to spend alot of money
There are no differences in later 351W heads used with either a 2bbl or 4bbl carb. The 2V-4V designations are really applicable to the 351C only as different castings with different port and valve sizes were used. In fact, except for larger head bolts, late 351W heads are virtually identical to the 5.0L heads. On a stock or near stock motor, the Edelbrock Performer is a good choice.
a warning about e-bay, i was looking at 600cfm carbs the other day and noticed they were selling for more on e-bay than remanufactured ones from the catalogs and one even went for more than a new one out of a catalog.
true, not everything on ebay is a deal. you need to know how much they cost new so you dont pay much. if you dont research it before you buy it then its like you almost deserve to pay more hehe
