upper balljoint worn out again??

HI
at about 160k I noticed that the driverside upperball joint was worn out and had alot of play on it , so i replaced the uppercontrol arm including balljoint(can't just replace the stock balljoint)
i bought an aftermarket one with greasenipple

now about 2 years and 50k later ,whenever i drive through a bumpy field ,it sounds like something is lose and rattling right by that frontwheel ,so i took off the wheel and checked the balljoint but it still seems tight ,

allthough i put in too much grease and that cracked the rubberboot ,just leave it or should i replace the balljoint because of that rubberboot that is ripped open?

If the ball joints don't have any play

Check out the end link by prying up and down. They can make similar noise..

You can usually source replacement balljoint boots, if you care to go through the process of installing it.

Id bet your end link bushings are worn out , if those on it are OEM and you have that many miles on them ..that's were Id start ..cheap fix ...energy suspension polyurethane bushings 20.00 ..and it will ride better ...Ball joints went 160,000 sound like you got your moneys worth outta therm parts ....

That sounds about right. Did you ever replace the upper joint because of the cracked boot?
