I am putting a 460 into a fox body ltd wagon and I need to buy headers for it, I don't really want to spend $400 on conversion headers, but I've heard that truck headers will fit with modifications, somebody said '78 f-150 2wd headers will fit, It would be nice to spend $150 instead of $400 on headers if anybody could help me out.
Got the from a place called total performance. I have there address and number I think in the garage I will try and get it for you tomorrow. There were one of the first to make a swap kit for the 460. Don't know about fit yet, I'm still waiting on my heads to get done. Should be next week. I will then put the heads on and headers and set it in the car to see how everything lines up. I'm not forseeing any problems though.
I'd appreciate that alot, I think the fox body fords are the best hot rods available, I prefer the ugly ones (I like sleepers) like my 86 ltd wagon, for under $2000 I think I can get 12's out of it. You should check out the big block fox yahoo group, lots of info.
I think this is the right place. Call and make sure though. I got there swap kit years ago after reading an article in Car Craft about the swap. Been collecting parts ever since, along with finishing school, moving a couple of times.... anyhow here it is.

I am on the yahoo group. Get the daily digest. That does have to be the most complete source of info I've found to date.
I have a 79 coupe, originally a v-6 car that I'm working with. Check out my webpage and go under 79 mustang buildup and I have some info. there on it. I like the idea of a wagon, or even just a 4dr ltd. I'm shooting for 10's with my first motor.
