Since your motor has a lot of non stock equipment can you take a photo of the style of mount and I'll pull one when I'm at the yard tomorrow?

Or do you want to swap to a Saginaw pump?

When I get up to my shop I will happily check for doubles, in the mean time you could always stop at used book stores, 2nd hand stores, antique stores and the like when you're passing them.

Not sure if you have enough posts for PMs but if you do then we can discuss any of the financials with me cover the cost of parts and a reasonable fee for pulling/delivery. Unfortunately I can't afford to just buy parts for everyone, if I could I'd probably be disappointed when I woke-up. haha

You also have the option of pulling an entire Serpentine accessory setup and bolting it on your truck. This way you can do the PS and upgrade to a 3G alternator at the same time. If sourced from a van you would get 3G and a Saginaw PS in a serpentine configurations.

Lucky for you SBF stuff is easier to come by at junkyards.

Options, options... It's also easy to throw these options out when it's not my truck and my wallet.

Chilton manual is pretty much the same, but I still like to have both to familiarize myself with things. And one or the other always has the answer on torque, wiring or some fact.

Library has them and its cheap to copy things....just copy the info you will need the most.

Ford manuals on CD, awesome so I hear. Got a local JY to hit up for the bracket? Way cheaper that way.

Yelm Highway! The good old days. Stewarts Meats, and the East Gate at Lewis (Before they closed it down). Loved going stumpin back there and riding quads.

I just moved here a few months ago. I am still learning all the stuff about this place. I would like to learn more about where to go offroad around here. Seems tied up by either the military or Weyerhauser.

Thanks guys! Im looking forward to gettin in there and gettin greasy. Ill probably have to hit up some junk yards and see what I come up with. I like the idea of going serpentine, but also like the idea of staying true to the original. I dont really need the heavy duty stuff since Im not gonna drag or wheel it, just cruise. Ive been out of the game a while and never got too deep back when I was helping my dad wrench on his. Figures it would be a pain to get a bracket for stock stuff! Ill have to try and make the meet for the Washington chapter and see what you guys think/recommend!

Aaron, update your thread! haha

Off hand his truck has received new VC gaskets. A complete PS conversion with new bearings in his new to him column and the accessory setup off an 88 Mercury Marquis as it's serpentine that mounts with one bracket, doesn't have any extra idlers and holds everything in a nice clean package. That's the setup I got for him after I got an incorrect mix of SBF PS mounts/pulleys= lesson learned. His truck has also received tuning and will get more after the vacuum leak created by the previous owner's incorrect sending unit installation.

Next I will be installing a Hydroboost setup on his truck to repay a favor, during my move the Injection Pump on my diesel box van went out and Aaron came to help, I don't feel the Hydroboost is enough to repay all he did and how generous he was with his time.

We did find out that his truck will pull a loaded 14' box van.

UPDATE!

Thanks for the Reminder John, or is it Jon?
Its been a Super busy time for me the past few months. I finished College! That's right folks im all edgimacadid! Plus the holidays and all!
Those who were at the Quarterly Washington Chapter Meet, may have seen the truck in its new updated, more organized state. Otherwise Here it is folks, The UPDATE!
The truck still runs like a champ ans fires right up. She's been a reliable daily driver since the day she came to be with me. The relatively fresh 302 has gotten a few much needed tweaks and upgrades! After the Initial fluid change and motor clean up I noticed a leaky VC Gasket. I grabbed a good set of Felpro gaskets and oddfordjunkie stopped by to scope out my truck and we each slapped on a gasket. Bam no more leak. We got to talkin about things I wanted to get done and John offered to find me the parts for my PS adventure and anything else I wanted. I had him scouring the yards for PS parts and after a few false starts we eventually got a full serpentine pulley and bracket set which all got a cleaning and coat of fresh paint, and were then mounted to a new waterpump. We installed also a rebuilt PS Gearbox (also scrubbed and painted), a fluid cooler coil, and a replacement column to accommodate the bigger gearbox. The column was about as loose and free as the original so it got a new set of bearings and clips. I can steer the truck with two fingers now and its all a nice clean looking package.
We tuned the carb and timing a bit and got things smoothed out. Since then I've installed new Motorcraft Plugs with the gaps opend up .010 over factory, and a set of new wires to match. I tweaked the carb a bit more to obtain the best overall response. I also spent a good deal of time in clearing up and organizing the engine room. Al wires running through heat resistant conduit, and running away from moving parts, etc.
BEFORE:

AFTER:

I have some better pics of after but I cant seem to find them on my PC.

Next On the LIST is eliminating an aftermarket temp gauge and plugging the port in the intake that the previous owner used to install it incorrectly causing intermittent vacuum leak, and loss of performance. Then one more good tune. Then Its Break day when John gets me the Hydroboost. I've got new rotors pads and bearings for the front, and new shoes and clips/springs for the rear. Today I'm Hoping to get the new stereo in SO I CAN HAVE SOME TUNES!! John also gave me a factory radio which I will be adding an auxiliary input to for iPod connectivity and it will go in when I get around to the interior.

That's about all for now. Thanks for all your input and all. John thanks a bunch for all your help with this project! Hit me up whenever your around.

Like everyone else things have been busy.

Will be doing all the required modifications to the Hydroboost unit, gathering the list of materials needed for the conversion then it's pretty well cut&dry.

All this will be a couple weeks with the way things are going then we will cooridinate when to take it to my shop in Marysville and go through the entire braking system.
